On June 24th, 1981, Our Lady appeared in Medjugorje for the first time. Young people saw the sight of a white figure in light. From the second day, the visionaries Vicka, Marija, Ivan, Ivanka, Mirjana and Jakov had the apparition together again and again. The apparitions of Medjugorje are a mystical phenomenon, an awakening, a place where one can sense the closeness of God, the closeness of Jesus Christ and, in particular, the love and care of our Mother Mary.

MEANING

In one of her first messages Our Lady askes for ''Peace, peace, peace and only peace, peace must reign between God and man and between all people''. In doing so, she reveals us why she has come to us and what her main message is. In an other message Our Lady gives us the present of the five stones of Medjugorje, in which she asks us to believe, to pray, to fast and to go to confession. In the following, Our Lady promises the visionaries to confide a total of ten secrets to each one of them.
